Call for Entries: Women, Peace and Security (WPS) National Media Award Competition
The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) Nigeria, in partnership with the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP), hereby invite entries from Nigerian media practitioners for its 2022 Women, Peace and Security (WPS) National Media Award Competition.
Any media professional of Nigerian descent, based and working in Nigeria for a print, broadcast or digital outlet or platform is eligible to submit an entry.
An entry should be journalistic content that has been published in a newspaper, news magazine, radio, television or online/digital news outlet that seeks to promote or advance the role of women in peacebuilding. The content should have been published between 1 August 2021 and 31 January 2022.
All entries should be accompanied by the following information: Full names of the author, media outlet or platform in which the entry was published, the date of publication, as well as phone and email contacts of the author.

The deadline for submission of entries is 31 January 2022.
The winner of the competition will receive a certificate of recognition and a plaque. In addition, he/she will be entitled to a fully-sponsored trip to one of the other WPS project countries, namely Colombia, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or Lebanon, to report on localization of the Women, Peace and Security strategy in that country.
