OJEI REJECTS AND CONDEMNS APM FOR ENDORSING ATIKU
Princess Chichi Ojei, the only female Presidential candidate in the 2023 General Elections under the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has lamented decision by her party to remove her from the race and endorse Atiku as Nigerians prepare for the coming general elections.
Ojei’s campaign council said they were alerted on the action of the National Executive Council (NEC) members of the Allied People´s Movement (APM) for conniving to truncate the chances of producing the first female President of Nigeria due to greed.
Ojei while stressing that the fate and chances of almost 45 million women who make up a large percentage of the electorates are currently being threatened due to this plot by the APM has distanced herself from this unscrupulous and despicable endorsement stating ”I consider this a huge setback for Nigerian women and an insult on my teeming supporters and party faithful seeing that the only presidential candidate is about to be taken out of the league by a platform that initially believed in her vision, capacity and capability to set the country on a steady path of continued positive transformation”
Ojei has called on Nigerian Women and well-meaning Nigerians to condemn the action of the APM. “ I call on Nigerian Women, the youths whom we also represent in great measure, fellow Nigerians, and the international community to rise in defense of our collective humanity and for the sake of equity, fairness and justice to stop the party leadership from embarking on such shameful and disappointing act”
