My Tenure Will Foster Inclusion; Ireti Kingibe
Senator Ireti Kingibe representing the FCT made this assurance while
speaking with the press on Wednesday 13 September 2023 to express
gratitude upon her reaffirmation as the senator of the Federal Capital
Territory (FCT) by the National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal
Senator Kingibe also called for collaboration from her opposition,
Senator Philip Aduda and Honourable Zacharia Angelo to work together
with her to make the FCT a great place to live and work in.
Kingibe outlined her vision for the FCT focusing on key areas of
infrastructure development, education, healthcare, gender inclusion and
job creation.
Bemoaning Nigeria’s rank of 182 out of 186 on women’s inclusion in
leadership, she emphasized on her interest to revisit the law on
affirmation action for women.
Kingibe pledged to utilize her renewed mandate to collaboratively
address the issues faced by the FCT citizens while maintaining an
open-door policy to engage with her constituents and gather their
invaluable feedback for implementation.
Senator Ireti Kingibe was elected member of the senate in the 2023
elections under the Labour Party.
The senator expressed her readiness to work with everybody irrespective
of party, to enhance the living standards of the people in the FCT.
