369 children hosted to funfair by Women Radio
369 children were hosted by Women Radio 91.7FM to a funfair in commemoration of Children’s Day 2024. The colourful day featured fun activities for children of different ages including dance competitions, train rides, bouncing castles, face painting, music, games, and refreshments.
Esther Alaribe, programmes manager of Women Radio 91.7FM, in her welcome speech, acknowledged children as young stars and Nigeria’s future leaders urging them to have fun and create lasting memories. Alaribe thanked parents, teachers, and guardians for allowing their children to participate while appreciating them for raising good children and ensuring their wellbeing. According to Alaribe, “Children’s Day is a special day and Women Radio is dedicated to nurturing young minds through creative initiatives to celebrate the joy, innocence, and energy of children”. Arepo community women’s leader, Ibinabo Dixon, who attended with other community leaders urged children to be good ambassadors and reminded them that they are the future.
The Women Radio Children’s Day Funfair took place on 27 May 2024 at Funktob School Arepo Lagos-Ibadan Expressway with gifts from sponsors including Rite Foods, Bigi, Viju, Sosa Fruit Drink, Aspira Nigeria Ltd, ROA Hospital, Moore House International School, Fifth Avenue Party Supplies and Beachland Hospital.
