WHATRYBE Conference 2024: Empowering Women in Business and Beyond

Women from diverse fields gathered at the Women High Achievers Trybe (WHATRYBE) Conference 2024 to connect, network, and find motivation to overcome personal and professional challenges. Held on Thursday, third October, 2024 in Lagos, the event, themed “Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges,” focused on helping women navigate obstacles while fostering meaningful connections that lead to new opportunities.
In her opening speech, the convener Kiki Okewale emphasized that every woman has a unique story and urged attendees to support one another on their paths to success. She encouraged women to lift each other and make positive contributions in all areas of life.
Princess Layo Bakare Okeowo, CEO of FAE Limited, in her keynote address, advised women to seek knowledge, remain determined, and take action when needed. Abimbola Balogun, co-founder of SoFreshNG, reinforced the importance of self-assessment and resourcefulness in business, urging women to envision their futures and work diligently to achieve them.
The “Money Moves” panel, featuring finance experts Sola Adesakin, Grace Ofure, and Etemore Glover, discussed the importance of understanding money, multiplying wealth, and setting financial goals.
A panel on “Brand Magnetism” with Tolulope A. Medebem and Dr. Samson Olatunde emphasized the emotional connection between brands and customers. They highlighted the need for intentional branding and clear communication strategies.
Catering to the needs of women in the content creation space, a panel had Damilola Saula, Mounfiq Raiyah Abu on personal growth and Dr. Ede Edokpolo Osazuwa on women’s health and stress management. They provided practical advice on maintaining balance and well-being.
Kiki Okewale encouraged women to continue mentoring and uplifting each other, reminding women that the future is theirs to shape, united by purpose.
