NAPPS Mowe-Ofada Unit Hosts Heartfelt Celebration Honoring Women and Legacy of Leadership for Women’s Month

In celebration of Women’s Month in March, the Mowe-Ofada unit of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) hosted a vibrant and emotionally resonant event at Transformation Schools, Mowe. The gathering brought together women school owners, educators, and guests to honor the role of women in education, mark birthdays, and spotlight the importance of gender equality in leadership and development.

Led by the unit coordinator, Mr. Famiwo Folorunso of Maxi Potential International School, the event served as a joyful space for fellowship, recognition, and reflection. Fourteen remarkable women were celebrated for their contributions to education and their personal milestones. A particularly touching highlight was the celebration of Pastor Mrs. Ehiemua Grace Oyamedala, an 81-year-old proprietress whose wisdom and grace moved the crowd. In her remarks, she encouraged women to choose happiness and fulfillment, emphasizing that joy is a key ingredient in living a long and meaningful life.

The atmosphere was rich with music, prayers, and heartfelt speeches as women shared their stories, danced, and laughed together. The event went beyond celebration—it was a statement of solidarity and a reminder of the powerful roles women play in shaping lives through education.

Mrs. Temitope Akinola of His Majesty Royal Schools, one of the celebrants, spoke on the importance of gratitude and community. She noted how joint birthday celebrations lift spirits and strengthen bonds, encouraging women to embrace their divine roles as nurturers and life-shapers.

The gathering also celebrated a proud moment for the Mowe-Ofada unit: the election of Mr. Abiodun Oluwatoyin Komolafe as Vice President of the NAPPS Ogun State Chapter. His recognition was met with enthusiastic applause and hailed as a reflection of the strength and integrity of the unit.

Throughout the event, the NAPPS commitment to gender equality was not just discussed—it was actively practiced. Women’s voices were amplified, their leadership recognized, and their efforts celebrated. The occasion truly embodied the spirit of Women’s Month, reinforcing the truth that when women are supported and empowered, entire communities grow stronger.

Women Radio 91.7FM was honored to be present, continuing its mission to spotlight women’s voices and share their stories. From the heartfelt testimonies to the spiritual reflections and expressions of unity, the NAPPS Mowe-Ofada celebration stood as a powerful reminder of the value of women’s work, the strength of togetherness, and the joy that emerges when women are lifted together.
