15 traditional rulers in Kwara state condemn rape of women and girls.
Traditional rulers in Kwara state gathered in solidarity to say NO to rape and all forms of violence agsinst women and girls at a workshop organised by Internstional Women’s Communication Centre (IWCC) in Ilorin.
Speaking at the workshop, Dr Limota Goroso Giwa the executive director of IWCC urged the traditional rulers to support all effort to end Gender Based Violence and to push for immediate implementation of all pending bills on women’s rights agenda including bill on Prohibition of Violence against Persons with disabilities.
Giwa urged the traditional Rulers to support government’s efforts to reduced Community transmission of COVID 19 and to end Gender Based Violence.
