SOUTH EAST WOMEN CELEBRATE TWO IGBO AMAZONS
On 18 April 2019, a coalition of NGOs from the South East Nigeria honor two outstanding women of Igbo extraction.
The two ICONs Prof. Uche Azikiwe (MFR) and Prof. Joy Ngozi Ezeilo (OON) were recognised for their achievements in academics and service to humanity.
The 2 igbo amazons and trail blazers have contributed immensely to the development of Igboland and Nigeria; hence reinforcing the important role of women in the development of the South East and Nigeria.
Activities of celebration included a paper presentation on ”Women As Transformative Leaders” Breaking Boundaries for effective Leadership.
The Program took place at KOBB event Centre is organised by the Women’s International League for Peace & Freedom (WILPF) Nigeria in partnership with Women’s Aid Collective (WACOL), Widows Lifeline (WIL), Women in Political Forum (WIPF) and Women Radio.
