Women Radio 91.7 congratulates Rukayat Shittu, Nigeria’s youngest female lawmaker & member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, on the well-deserved victory following the court of appeal’s decision of 29 November 2023. We acknowledge and salute Rukayat’s hard work, dedication, resilience and unwavering commitment. This victory is not only a personal achievement but a significant milestone in our journey of gender equity and balance.

We know that Rukayat’s leadership will bring positive change and progress to her constituents at Owode/Onire. This victory must serve as a constant reminder of Rukayat’s capabilities and the positive difference she will make while representing her people.
